I’m Tobias Velez, a student at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda. I write about economics and try to explain it in a way that makes sense to other high schoolers.

The numbers come from primary sources when there is one, like the BLS, the Fed, the Census Bureau, and MCPS. When a calculation is mine and not an agency’s, I say so and show how I did it. If I get something wrong, email me and I’ll fix it and note the change on the method page.
